At Behavioral Spark, we believe in honoring every child’s unique way of communicating, learning, and connecting. We provide play-based ABA therapy and parent coaching for autistic children ages 2 to 6 across Miami-Dade and Broward County.
Our approach is rooted in the science of behavior but guided by the heart of each family. We help children build important life skills—like communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines—through play, sensory awareness, and child-led connection. And just as importantly, we help parents feel grounded, capable, and supported along the way.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Maritza—a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 7 years of experience in the field. I’ve worked with hundreds of families navigating autism, early intervention, and the highs and lows of parenting a neurodivergent child.
I created Behavioral Spark because I saw too many families feeling overwhelmed, confused, or unsupported in therapy spaces. I wanted to offer something different—something child-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, and truly empowering for caregivers.
I’m trained in:
- 🌈 Play-based and naturalistic ABA
- 🧠 Sensory integration strategies
- 💬 Functional communication training
I speak three languages and deeply value offering culturally responsive care that reflects the families I serve.
Whether I’m on the floor playing with bubbles, decoding sensory triggers, or coaching a parent through a tough transition, my goal is always the same:

When I’m not working with amazing families, you’ll usually find me weight training, exploring a new city or curled up with a cup of coffee.
